2010 FAAN Teen Summit

Registration is now closed for the 2010 FAAN Teen Summit.
From Oct. 22–24, 2010, teens with food allergies, ages 11 to 20 – and their siblings, ages 11 to 20 - from around the country will come together in Baltimore, Md. at the Sheraton – Inner Harbor for a weekend of fun, education, and discussion of topics unique to teens with food allergies.

This is your chance to meet other teens who “get it” and to make friends in the food allergy community. We truly are all in this together! You’ll hear presentations by health care professionals and by other teens who are managing food allergies. There will be separate sessions for the teens and parents about school transitions and research updates, as well as question-and-answer sessions with doctors and small group discussions.

The format for this year’s Teen Summit has changed. Breakout sessions will be scheduled for two groups: ages 11-14 and ages 15-20. Joint sessions with all of the teens are planned in which the entire group can be together for mentoring and networking. The parents and teens will still have separate sessions because we want this to be a weekend for you, the teen, where you can connect with other teens from across the country. We are also bringing back the Saturday night social, where there will be games and time to hang out with your friends, as well as a chance to win some prizes!

The FAAN Teen Summit is a great opportunity to meet and connect as you share personal stories, and you’ll walk away with new friends.

The registration fee is $25 per person. Registrants must be FAAN members to attend. Space is limited. Registration closed on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010.
